Federal Bank edges higher on reporting 28% rise in Q3 net profit

Federal Bank is currently trading at Rs. 91.75, up by 0.35 points or 0.38% from its previous closing of Rs. 91.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 91.95 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 92.80 and Rs. 90.20 respectively. So far 1028849 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 109.80 on 18-Jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 67.05 on 04-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 96.00 and Rs. 89.10 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 18271.77 crore.

The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 66.15% and 33.85%, stake in the Bank, respectively.

The Bank has reported 28.31% rise in its net profit at Rs 333.63 crore for for third quarter ended December 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 260.01 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the Bank increased by 20.89% at Rs 3,299.96 crore for Q3FY19 as compared Rs 2,729.83 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

The Bank’s gross NPA for the October-December quarter of the current fiscal increased to 3.14%, as compared to 2.52% in the same quarter of the previous year. Besides, Bank’s Net NPA stood at 1.72% in Q3FY19.
