Reliance Power slips on reporting 32% fall in Q3 consolidated net profit

Reliance Power is currently trading at Rs. 26.95, down by 1.05 points or 3.75% from its previous closing of Rs. 28.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 28.20 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 28.20 and Rs. 26.80 respectively. So far 973869 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 48.95 on 30-jan-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 23.55 on 09-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 29.25 and Rs. 26.80 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7629.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 10.66% and 14.34% respectively.

Reliance Power has reported net loss of Rs 95.54 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2018 as compared to net profit of Rs 0.08 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 73.69% at Rs 32.69 crore for Q3FY19 as compared Rs 124.25 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 32.47% in its net profit at Rs 189.30 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 280.34 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 16.91% at Rs 2,151.39 crore for Q3FY19 as compared Rs 2,589.28 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
