MOIL spurts on reporting 16% rise in Q3 net profit

MOIL is currently trading at Rs. 162.55, up by 1.85 points or 1.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 160.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 164.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 165.70 and Rs. 162.30 respectively. So far 3826 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 243.90 on 02-Feb-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 154.10 on 01-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 165.70 and Rs. 155.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4199.02 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 65.69%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 17.90% and 16.40% respectively.

MOIL has reported 15.87% rise in its net profit at Rs 120.26 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 103.79 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 9.47% at Rs 380.12 crore for Q3FY19 as compared Rs 347.23 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

MOIL is the largest iron ore company in India and fifth largest in world. It currently operates seven underground mines (Kandri, Munsar, Beldongri, Gumgaon, Chikla, Balaghat and Ukwa mines) and three opencast mines (Dongri Buzurg, Sitapatore/Sukli, and Tirodi).
