Hindustan Copper has conducted a groundbreaking ceremony at Ghatsila Unit for construction of concentrator plant at Rakha, initiating Chapri-Sidheswar mine, a new mine development and Rakha mine re-opening projects. The company’s unit located at Ghatsila has planned to implement total five mine expansion projects to increase the mine capacity form current 4.0 to 72.0 lakh tonne.

Hindustan Copper’s principal activities include mining of copper ore, concentration of copper ore into copper concentrate through a beneficiation process and also smelting, refining and extruding of the copper concentrate into refined copper in downstream saleable products.
