Motherson Sumi Systems slips despite reporting 7% rise in Q3 consolidated net profit

Motherson Sumi Systems is currently trading at Rs. 134.40, down by 0.65 points or 0.48% from its previous closing of Rs. 135.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 134.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 140.80 and Rs. 130.45 respectively. So far 1112823 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 247.96 on 12-Feb-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 130.45 on 11-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 143.65 and Rs. 130.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 42458.43 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 61.73%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 27.36% and 10.92% respectively.

Motherson Sumi Systems has reported a fall of 18.89% in its net profit at Rs 141.61 crore for the quarter ended December 31, 2018 as compared to Rs 174.59 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company decreased by 3.77% at Rs 1760.10 crore for Q3FY19 as compared Rs 1829.00 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a rise of 6.74% in its net profit at Rs 389.06 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 364.49 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 14.72% at Rs 16,533.99 crore for Q3FY19 as compared Rs 14,412.94 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
