NLC India and NHPC have signed memorandum of understanding (MoU) in the area of Power Trading. Through this MoU, both the companies will offer surplus power available in the Northern & North East Region to the bulk consumers in Southern Region at an affordable tariff. This MoU will create win-win situation for the generators and bulk consumers.
NLC India is engaged in the business of lignite mining and power generation. At present, the company has four opencast lignite mines.
