RBI slaps penalty of Rs 3 crore on Indian Overseas Bank

The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has levied a penalty of Rs 3 crore on Indian Overseas Bank for non-compliance with the directions issued on February 20, 2018 by RBI.

The Bank has taken necessary measures to strengthen internal controls to avoid such recurrence.

Indian Overseas Bank is a pioneer in many fields - Banking, Insurance and Industry with the twin objectives of specialising in foreign exchange business and overseas banking.
