SBI rises on joining hands with Hitachi Payment Services to boost digital payments

State Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 280.25, up by 4.20 points or 1.52 % from its previous closing of Rs. 276.05 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 276.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 282.20 and Rs. 275.55 respectively. So far 415815 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 325.85 on 10-Aug-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 232.00 on 27-Apr-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 282.20 and Rs. 267.50 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 250691.66 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.53%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 33.93% and 7.54% respectively.

State Bank of India (SBI) and Hitachi Payment Services, unit of Japanese Hitachi have launched a merchant acquiring joint venture (JV), SBI Payment Services (SBIPSPL) in Mumbai, for establishing a state-of-the-art digital payments platform for India and other countries in the region.

SBI is the country’s largest lender and it offers a wide range of services in the Personal Banking, Agriculture/ Rural, NRI services, SME and Corporate Banking etc.
