Apollo Tyres rises on reporting stellar Q1 numbers

Apollo Tyres is currently trading at Rs. 84.95, up by 1.35 points or 1.61% from its previous closing of Rs. 83.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 84.30 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 85.20 and Rs. 83.70 respectively. So far 248118 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 95.00 on 19-Apr-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 50.80 on 19-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 85.20 and Rs. 79.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 4284.21 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 46.94% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.91% and 17.15% respectively.

Apollo Tyres has reported results for first quarter ended June 30, 2012.

On standalone basis, the company has reported a rise of 69.41% in its net profit at Rs 75.27 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 44.43 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 9.39% to Rs 2157.34 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs  1972.24 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

On consolidated, the company has reported a rise of 78.95% in its net profit at Rs 138.01 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 77.12 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 12.01% to Rs 3174.53 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 2834.09 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
