Reliance Power has reported unaudited results for the first quarter ended June 30, 2011.
The company’s net profit after tax and appropriation for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 fell by 56.49% at Rs 64.63 crore as compared to Rs 148.55 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income decreased 43.65% at Rs 119.50 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 212.08 crore for the same quarter last year.
On consolidated basis, the Group has posted a marginal rise of 0.36% in its net profit after tax at Rs 196.12 crore as compared to Rs 195.41 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2010. Its total income has increased by 71.80% at Rs 689.23 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 401.19 crore for the similar quarter of the previous year.
