SBI Macquarie JV to invest $150 mn in Ashoka Buildcon’s subsidiary

Macquarie SBI Infrastructure Fund and SBI Macquarie Infrastructure Trusts, both of which are private equity funds managed by SBI and Macquarie will invest $150 million in Ashoka Buildcon’s wholly owned subsidiary -- Ashoka Concession.

Ashoka Concession will utilize the said amount to fund its existing portfolio. At present, Ashoka Concession domicile a portfolio of 7 large sized project amounting to a project cost of $1.6 billion.

Ashoka Buildcon builds and operates roads and bridges in India on a build, operate and transfer (BOT) basis. It currently operates one of the highest numbers of toll-based BOT projects in India.
