NHPC has started trading of power for Jammu & Kashmir (J&K), Power Development Department (PDD) with effect from March 22, 2019 in day ahead Market with Indian Energy Exchange.
The sale and purchase of power in Power Exchange is for a period of 1 year from the date of Letter of Award (LoA) and for purchase of 1000 MUs and Sale of 400 MUs through Power Exchange.
NHPC is engaged in electric power generation by hydroelectric power plants. The company is also engaged in contracts, project management and consultancy works.
