Hindustan Zinc has recorded underground mined metal production at 936kt during full year ended March 31, 2019, up by 29% y-o-y. The total mined metal production was down by 1% y-o-y, post closure of open cast operations.
Further, lead metal production stood at 198kt, up by 18% y-o-y, while refined silver production stood at 679 tonnes, up by 22% y-o-y.
Hindustan Zinc, the world’s second biggest zinc producer, operates the world’s third largest open-pit mine, and world’s largest Zinc Mine in Rampura Agucha, Rajasthan.
