Fortis Healthcare trades in fine fettle on the bourses

Fortis Healthcare is currently trading at Rs 100.15, up by 0.85 points or 0.86% from its previous closing of Rs 99.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 99.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 100.50 and Rs 99.20 respectively. So far 31530 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 157.90 on 25-Aug-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 81.00 on 28-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 102.00 and Rs 99.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 4021.41 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 81.48% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.96% and 12.56% respectively.

Fortis Healthcare, on standalone basis, the company has reported a rise of 0.52% in its net profit at Rs 13.33 crore for the quarter, as compared to Rs 13.26 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company has increased by 44.65% to Rs 137.42 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs. 95.00 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.

On Consolidated basis, the company has reported a net loss of Rs 60.42 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 against net profit of Rs 16.01 crore for the corresponding period last fiscal. However, total income increased by 185.83% at Rs 1445.66 crore during the quarter under review from Rs 505.78 crore in the year-ago period.
