SpiceJet flies high as airline to offer business class tickets

Spicejet is currently trading at Rs. 125.30, up by 1.30 points or 1.05% from its previous closing of Rs. 124.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 124.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 126.75 and Rs. 124.20 respectively. So far 465643 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 152.60 on 18-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 60.60 on 04-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 135.50 and Rs. 123.35 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7511.47 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 12.01% and 27.99% respectively.

SpiceJet is entering into the full-service segment offering business class tickets on select domestic routes from May 11.

To begin with, SpiceJet will offer business class on some of its Boeing 737s to be operated from destinations like New Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Varanasi, Bagdogra, and Srinagar.

SpiceJet is among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector.
