GIPCL edges higher on emerging as successful Bidder for solar power project

Gujarat Industries Power Company is currently trading at Rs. 68.85, up by 0.05 points or 0.07% from its previous closing of Rs. 68.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 70.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 71.10 and Rs. 68.50 respectively. So far 5311 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 101.10 on 24-May-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 68.00 on 23-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 71.10 and Rs. 68.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1043.63 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 55.69%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 25.93% and 18.38% respectively.

Gujarat Industries Power Company (GIPCL) has emerged as successful Bidder in e-reverse Auction for selection of Bidder for Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam (GUVNL). The project is for setting up 100 MW solar power project at the Raghanesda solar park, District Banaskantha, in state of Gujarat. Letter of Award is awaited from GUVNL.

Gujarat Industries Power Company is engaged in the business of power generation. The company is also engaged in conducting research and development operations such as identification and completion of geological survey work at chosen site and conducting seismic survey for mapping of lignite deposits at said area.
