Royal Orchid edges higher on opening five star hotel in Hyderabad

Royal Orchid Hotels is currently trading at Rs 45.00, up by 0.10 points or 0.22% from its previous closing of Rs 44.90 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 44.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs 45.00 and Rs 44.40 respectively. So far 1099 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 60.00 on 24-Oct-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs 40.05 on 22-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 46.00 and Rs 44.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 122.55 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 70.22% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 8.83% and 20.95% respectively.

Royal Orchid Hotels has opened a contemporary five star business hotel ‘Regenta One’ at ISB Road, Gachibowli in Hyderabad. With the opening of the above hotel, the company has now 22 hotels across 15 cities in India. The above hotel is with 158 guest rooms in addition to bar, specialty restaurants, conference hall and other facilities.

The company has reported net loss of Rs 2.73 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012 as compared to Rs 1.27 crore as for the March quarter of the previous year. Company’s total income has increased by 2.52% to Rs 26.49 crore for the quarter from Rs 25.84 crore for the March quarter of the previous year.
