Indian Hotels Company surges on signing new Vivanta branded hotel in Gorakhpur

Indian Hotels Company is currently trading at Rs. 150.95, up by 2.40 points or 1.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 148.55 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 148.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 150.95 and Rs. 148.75 respectively. So far 3241 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 161.00 on 02-May-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 110.00 on 09-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 151.05 and Rs. 144.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 17928.07 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 39.09%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 41.03% and 19.88% respectively.

The Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a new Vivanta branded hotel in Gorakhpur in the state of Uttar Pradesh. This hotel is owned by AD Estate Developers under a management contract by Vivanta.

Vivanta Gorakhpur will be part of a mixed-use development project. The hotel will comprise 110 guest rooms and other features including multi-cuisine restaurants, recreation facilities and modern meeting spaces. It is slated to open in 2022.

Indian Hotels Company and its subsidiaries are collectively known as Taj Hotels Resorts and Palaces and recognized as one of Asia's largest and finest hotel company. It operates in the luxury, premium, mid-market and value segments of the market.
