City Union Bank shines on inaugurating two branches at Chennai

City Union Bank is currently trading at Rs. 50.90, up by 0.55 points or 1.09% from its previous closing of Rs. 50.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 50.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 51.15 and Rs. 50.00 respectively. So far 35,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 55.35 on 03-Aug-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 39.15 on 20-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 51.25 and Rs. 49.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1,771 crore.

 The Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.15% and 70.85% respectively.

City Union Bank has inaugurated two branches located at Jalladiampet and Semmanjeri in Chennai. The bank has inaugurated both the branches on August 16, 2012.

The bank has posted a rise of 26.29% in its net profit at Rs 73.89 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2012 as compared to Rs 58.51 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income has increased by 35.94% at Rs 566.90 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 417.02 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2011.
