Reliance Power jumps as its Sasan project gets CERC nod to meet new environment norms

Reliance Power is currently trading at Rs. 4.69, up by 0.51 points or 12.20% from its previous closing of Rs. 4.18 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 4.15 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 4.75 and Rs. 4.05 respectively. So far 4257555 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 39.25 on 03-Sep-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 3.95 on 19-Jun-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 5.76 and Rs. 3.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 1279.14 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.29%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.93% and 29.78% respectively.

Reliance Power's 3,960 MW project at Sasan in Madhya Pradesh has received regulatory nod from the Central Electricity Regulatory Commission (CERC) for implementing a system to control emissions and meet new environmental norms. The CERC approval would enable the company to recover the cost of the system from its consumers.
