Andhra Bank surges on getting nod to raise Rs 2,000 crore equity capital in FY20

Andhra Bank is currently trading at Rs. 23.00, up by 0.30 points or 1.32% from its previous closing of Rs. 22.70 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 22.75 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 23.10 and Rs. 22.75 respectively. So far 6331 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 36.75 on 31-Jul-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 22.25 on 21-Jun-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 24.15 and Rs. 22.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 6774.79 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 90.85%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 4.51% and 4.64% respectively.

Andhra Bank has received approval to raise the equity capital amounting to Rs 2,000 crore (including premium) by way of Qualified Institutional Placement (QIP) / Follow-on Public Offer (FPO) / Sale of non-core assets / Preferential Allotment / any other approved means during FY 2019-20. The Board of Directors of the Bank at its meeting held on June 24, 2019 has approved the same.
