Hindalco Industries gains on joining hand with Fortum

Hindalco Industries is currently trading at Rs. 208.65, up by 0.50 points or 0.24% from its previous closing of Rs. 208.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 210.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 210.00 and Rs. 207.25 respectively. So far 45179 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 259.70 on 04-Oct-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 182.55 on 15-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 210.00 and Rs. 193.15 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 46747.28 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 34.66%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 45.93% and 13.14% respectively.

Fortum has signed its first commercial project with Hindalco Industries to reduce nitrogen oxides through combustion modification at a 150 MW power plant. The project will be implemented in one of the 150 MW boilers at the Aluminium Smelter Unit in Mahan, Singrauli district in Madhya Pradesh.

Hindalco Industries is an industry leader in aluminium and copper. The company’s aluminium units across the country encompass the entire gamut of operations from bauxite mining, alumina refining, aluminium smelting to downstream rolling, extrusions, foils and alloy wheels, along with captive power plants and coal mines.
