SBI inches up on planning to raise additional tier-1 capital

State Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 359.90, up by 1.90 points or 0.53% from its previous closing of Rs. 358.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 358.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 362.00 and Rs. 357.90 respectively. So far 294711 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 364.00 on 23-May-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 247.65 on 26-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 362.00 and Rs. 343.25 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 321642.13 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 57.92%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 34.40% and 7.68% respectively.

State Bank of India (SBI) is planning to raise Additional Tier 1 (AT1) Capital by way of issuance of Basel-III compliant debt instrument in USD and/ or INR from domestic/International market during FY 2020 subject to GoI concurrence. The meeting of Central Board of the Bank is scheduled to be held on July 1, 2019 to consider the same.

SBI is the country’s largest lender and it offers a wide range of services in the Personal Banking, Agriculture/ Rural, NRI services, SME and Corporate Banking etc.
