BF Utilities surges on reporting strong Q3 numbers

BF Utilities is currently trading at Rs 551.05, up by 5.30 points or 0.97% from its previous closing of Rs 545.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 553.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs 568.70 and Rs 547.00 respectively. So far 131426 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 1143.90 on 24-Aug-2010 and a 52 week low of Rs 535.00 on 09-Aug-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 615.00 and Rs 535.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 2055.71 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.15% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 3.11% and 30.73% respectively. 

BF Utilities has reported unaudited results for the third quarter ended June 30, 2011.

The company’s net profit for the quarter ended June 30, 2011 zoomed by 177.94% at Rs 1.89 crore as compared to Rs 0.68 crore for the corresponding quarter last year. Its total income increased 30.37% at Rs 6.61 crore for the quarter under review from Rs 5.07 crore for the same quarter last year.

BF Utilities is engaged in power generation through wind mill technology. The company was set up to satiate the power requirements of the Kalyani Group companies, which have business interests in the areas of steel making, forging, machining, etc.
