Vedanta gains on spending around Rs 10,000 crore in FY19 on capital expenditure programmes

Vedanta is currently trading at Rs. 162.55, up by 2.55 points or 1.59% from its previous closing of Rs. 160.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 162.50 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 165.10 and Rs. 160.85 respectively. So far 445675 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 246.90 on 03-Oct-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 145.90 on 15-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 172.00 and Rs. 156.95 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 60274.30 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.14%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.15% and 10.69% respectively.

Vedanta has spent around Rs 10,000 crore in FY19 on capital expenditure programmes. The company aims to double its current contribution of 27% of nation's production.

Vedanta is a diversified natural resources company, whose business primarily involves producing oil and gas, zinc- lead-silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power.
