Time Technoplast has received the certification from The Emirates Authority for Standardization & Metrology (ESMA). ESMA, post its detailed audit and test of Litesafe Cylinders has awarded the requisite certificates for all the models on August 29, 2012. The regulations for use of Composite Cylinders in GCC countries required additional approval from ESMA as a pre-requisite. With this approval, Time Technoplast can participate in oncoming enquiries / tenders for composite cylinders in GCC countries.
The company had set up state-of-art production unit in India for manufacture of composite cylinders for LPG with a capacity of 2kg, 5kg and 10kg earlier this year. Composite Cylinders 'Litesafe', received most coveted approvals under European standards (EN 12245:2002 & 14427:2004) and international standards (ISO 11119-3:2002) from TUV Rheinland, Germany. This unit with a capacity of approx. 500,000 cylinders per annum was targeted at hugely developing composite cylinder market in India and Middle East namely Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Oman etc.
It is noteworthy that owing to several technical and operational advantages associated with Composite Cylinders (explosion proof, light weight, long life etc), several GCC countries are already to adapt Composite Cylinders in their LPG distribution system in very near future.
