Tata Motors partners with Tata power to install 300 fast charging stations

Tata Motors has partnered with Tata Power to install 300 fast charging stations for electric vehicles across Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Bangalore and Hyderabad by end FY20. The company has inaugurated 7 electric car charging stations in Pune, and aims to set up another 45 across the other four cities over the next two months.

The chargers will be installed at Tata Motors dealerships, certain Tata Group retail outlets and other public locations. The chargers will be operated by Tata Power and will adhere to Bharat Standard (15 kW) for the initial 50 chargers. The companies also plan to install charging stations that will adhere to 30-50 kW DC CCS2 standard.

Tata Motors is India’s largest automobile company. Through subsidiaries and associate companies, Tata Motors has operations in the UK, South Korea, Thailand, South Africa and Indonesia. Among them is Jaguar Land Rover, the business comprising the two iconic British brands.
