Gujarat Alkalies & Chemicals has temporarily shut down all its plants at Dahej Complex except Anhydrous Aluminium Chloride (AAC) Plant on account of heavy rain in short duration of time and water logging in entire Dahej Complex. The company has taken this step as a precautionary measure.
Dewatering measures are being taken. As per the situation, the restoration of plant operations would take some time. All plants at Baroda Complex are operating normally.
Gujarat Alkalies and Chemicals is engaged in business of manufacturing basic chemicals such as sodium cyanide, sodium ferrocyanide, chloromethanes, hydrochloric acid, caustic potash, potassium carbonate, phosphoric acid (85%) and hydrogen peroxide.
