Reliance Infrastructure to start cement production by late September: Report

Reliance Infrastructure, reportedly, is planning to start cement production from its grinding facility in Maharashtra by end of this month. The company will also establish cement production plant using fly ash as input, with a capacity of 5 million tonnes (mt).

The company would begin complete production in 2013-14 and will start selling the cement in the open market under the brand Reliance Cement.

Further, the company has been working on another cement plant as well, with 5-mt capacity at Maihar in Madhya Pradesh.

Reliance Infrastructure is the largest infrastructure company developing projects, through various Special Purpose Vehicles; in several high growth areas in Infrastructure sector i.e. Roads, Metro Rail, Airports, etc. The Company is also leading utility company having presence across the value chain of power businesses i.e. Generation, Transmission, Distribution, EPC and Trading.
