M&M slips on reporting 53% fall in Q1 consolidated net profit

Mahindra & Mahindra is currently trading at Rs. 529.20, down by 20.10 points or 3.66% from its previous closing of Rs. 549.30 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 550.80 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 550.80 and Rs. 527.90 respectively. So far 279236 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 992.00 on 30-Aug-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 526.05 on 07-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 563.70 and Rs. 526.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 66050.82 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 19.87%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 58.78% and 21.36% respectively.

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported 89.51% rise in its net profit at Rs 2,313.82 crore for the quarter ended June 30, 2019 as compared to Rs 1,220.96 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 3.94% at Rs 13,241.83 crore for Q1FY20 as compared Rs 13,784.89 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On the consolidated basis, the company has reported a fall of 52.56% in its net profit at Rs 894.11 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 1,884.66 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company increased marginally by 0.11% at Rs 26,289.48 crore for Q1FY20 as compared Rs 26,260.64 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.
