IL&FS Engineering Construction Company’s joint venture company has bagged railway project worth Rs 269 crore in Kadapa and Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh (AP). The company has secured the said contract from Rail Vikas Nigam (RVNL), Chennai for construction of a new board gauge railway line in Kadapa and Nellore district of AP.
The contract involves construction of two tunnels at chainage from Km 18660 to km 19600, and from Km 23370 to Km 29990 with ballastless track and construction of road bed from Km 17/0 to Km 35/0 including earthwork in information, major & minor bridges for new Broad Gauge Railway Line (Obulavaripalle to Venkatachalam) in Kadapa and Nellore district of Andhra Pradesh in South Central Railway. The project is to be completed within 40 months.
