NTPC inches up on planning to set up ultra-mega solar park in Gujarat

NTPC is currently trading at Rs. 118.55, up by 0.55 points or 0.47% from its previous closing of Rs. 118.00 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 118.60 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 118.75 and Rs. 117.75 respectively. So far 69437 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 146.19 on 14-Sep-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 106.71 on 13-Feb-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 120.45 and Rs. 116.55 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 117201.03 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 56.41%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 40.09% and 3.51% respectively.

NTPC is planning to set up an ultra-mega solar park in the Kutch region of Gujarat that will produce up to 5,000 mega watts and involve an investment of Rs 20,000 crore or more. The company is also planning to tie up with municipalities to produce electricity from solid waste.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
