Tata Metaliks is likely to complete expansion of Kharagpur plant in West Bengal, to double the ductile iron (DI) pipe capacity, by fiscal year 2021. The company is focusing on the DI pipe segment, which is growing steadily at 8-10 per cent.
Around Rs 403 crore was recently infused into the company through rights issue of shares and warrants, to fund the expansion.
Tata Metaliks is engaged in manufacturing of pig iron, casting, iron ore fines, coke breeze and limestone. It is a leading pig iron manufacturer and seller in India.
