Jaiprakash Power Ventures rises on seeking shareholders’ nod to issue shares to lenders

Jaiprakash Power Ventures is currently trading at Rs. 1.57, up by 0.01 points or 0.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 1.56 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 1.54 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1.60 and Rs. 1.54 respectively. So far 56191 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 4.61 on 03-Sep-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1.44 on 08-Feb-2019.

Jaiprakash Power Ventures has sought shareholders' approval to issue preference shares worth Rs 4,000 crore to its lenders in the annual general meeting on September 20.

The firm's board at its meeting held on August 31, 2018, had approved the offer and issue of 0.01 per cent Cumulative Compulsory Convertible Preference Shares (CCPs) aggregating up to Rs 4,000 crore in one or more tranche on preferential basis to lenders.
