Vedanta gains on collaborating with Niti Aayog for Odisha district

Vedanta is currently trading at Rs. 133.05, up by 0.85 points or 0.64% from its previous closing of Rs. 132.20 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 133.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 134.00 and Rs. 130.85 respectively. So far 93765 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 246.90 on 03-Oct-2018 and a 52 week low of Rs. 125.70 on 22-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 139.00 and Rs. 127.85 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 49141.31 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 50.14%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 35.45% and 10.39% respectively.

Vedanta has collaborated with government think-tank Niti Aayog to help improve the quality of life of the people of Kalahandi district of Odisha. NITI Aayog and Vedanta will work together to assist the district by reviewing and co-creating strategic action plans to improve lives of local communities through interventions in health and nutrition, education, financial inclusion, skill development and basic infrastructure related aspects as defined in aspirational districts mandate under the overall development policies of the state government.

Vedanta is a diversified natural resources company, whose business primarily involves producing oil and gas, zinc- lead-silver, copper, iron ore, aluminium and commercial power.
