NTPC commissions first ultra supercritical unit in MP

NTPC has commissioned India's first ultra supercritical unit having a capacity of 660 MW at Khargone in Madhya Pradesh (MP). This plant operates at an efficiency of 41.5 percent, which is 3.3 percent higher than the conventional supercritical ones, with steam parameters of 600 degree Celsius temperatures and 270 kg/cm2 pressure.

NTPC is the largest power utility company in India and has presence in Coal, Gas, Solar PV, Hydro and Wind Power Generation and Coal Mining.
