Bajaj Auto has registered a fall of 11% in total sales to 390,026 units in August 2019 against 437,092 units in August 2018. The sales of the motorcycles decreased by 10% and stood at 325,300 units in August 2019 under review against 362,923 units in August 2018. The company has reported 13% fall in commercial vehicles sales, which stood at 64,726 units as compared to 74,169 units in month of August 2018.
However, the company’s total exports stood at 181,917 units, registering a marginal gain of 0.25% as compared to 181,461 units sold in the corresponding month last year.
Bajaj Auto is world’s fourth largest two and three-wheeler manufacturer. Bajaj Auto has three plants in all, two at Waluj and Chakan in Maharashtra and one plant at Pant Nagar in Uttaranchal.
