Mahindra Satyam gains on entering into contractual agreement to provide IT services

Mahindra Satyam is currently trading at Rs. 99.60, up by 0.95 points or 0.96% from its previous closing of Rs. 98.65 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 99.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 100.20 and Rs. 99.10 respectively. So far 77,000 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'B' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 101.80 on 23-Aug-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 62.15 on 19-Dec-2011.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 100.20 and Rs. 93.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 11,721.00 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 42.64% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 29.32% and 28.04% respectively.

Mahindra Satyam, a leading global consulting and IT services provider has entered into a new contractual arrangement with Australian carrier Jetstar, the budget airliner of Qantas, to provide IT services. As per the agreement, Jetstar will receive services such as desktop support services from the Indian provider.

Moreover, Jetstar would be receiving subcontracted work from Mahindra Satyam through an existing deal with Melbourne- based Lincom Solutions as it is looking to expand into new markets in Hong Kong and Japan.
