Spicejet flies high as its cargo arm takes lease-delivery of first freighter jet

Spicejet is currently trading at Rs. 131.70, up by 1.30 points or 1.00% from its previous closing of Rs. 130.40 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 134.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 134.45 and Rs. 131.50 respectively. So far 1009048 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 156.90 on 03-Jun-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 60.60 on 04-Oct-2018.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 134.45 and Rs. 123.60 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 7895.29 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 60.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 13.01% and 26.99% respectively.

Spicejet’s cargo arm -- SpiceXpress has taken the lease-delivery of its first plane-- a 737-800 Boeing Converted Freighter (BCF). SpiceXpress, the first cargo airline across South Asia, has leased the standard-body freighter from NGF Alpha of Spectre Cargo Solutions.

SpiceJet is among the first private companies that stepped into the Indian aviation sector.
