Hero MotoCorp is currently trading at Rs. 1823.60, up by 37.85 points or 2.21% from its previous closing of Rs. 1785.75 on the BSE.
The scrip opened at Rs. 1795.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1831.95 and Rs. 1790.00 respectively. So far 29,000 shares were traded on the counter.
The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 2278.50 on 02-May-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 1702.65 on 09-Jan-2012.
Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 1831.95 and Rs. 1768.45 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 36,415 crore.
The promoters holding in the company stood at 52.21% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 39.15% and 8.64% respectively.
Hero MotoCorp, country's largest two-wheeler maker will complete dropping the badge of its erstwhile joint venture partner Honda from all its existing products within this month. The company had begun the process of dropping the Honda badge from its products starting with its best selling model range Splendor in April this year and is going to complete the task two years ahead of the schedule.
At present the entity sells 18 models in the market, out of which three were launched under the Hero brand after the firm announced its new brand identity in London last August. The 15 other models have been sold under the erstwhile Hero Honda brand. As part of their parting agreement, Hero MotoCorp has time till 2014 to use the Honda brand in its products.
Besides this, the two-wheeler maker is also planning to double its scooter production capacity to 60,000 units a month. Moreover, it is also hiking the production capacity of its 125 cc bikes to 75,000 units a month.
