Central Bank of India zooms on getting nod to raise Rs 3,353 crore via preferential basis

Central Bank of India is currently trading at Rs. 20.00, up by 2.05 points or 11.42% from its previous closing of Rs. 17.95 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 18.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 20.80 and Rs. 18.40 respectively. So far 152031 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 38.00 on 02-Jan-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 15.55 on 09-Oct-2019.

Central Bank of India has received approval to allot shares on a preferential basis to the government to raise up to Rs 3,353 crore. The capital raising committee of the board of directors at its meeting on October 29, 2019 considered and approved raising of equity capital by issuance and allotment of up to 1,58,38,45,063 equity shares aggregating to Rs 3,353 crore to the Government of India on a preferential basis.
