M&M’s Auto Sector registers 11% fall in October sales

Mahindra & Mahindra (M&M) has reported auto sales performance for October 2019 which stood at 51896 vehicles, compared to 58416 vehicles during October 2018, registering a fall of 11%. The company’s domestic sales touched 49,193 vehicles during October 2019, as against 55,350 vehicles in October 2018. Exports for October 2019 stood at 2,703 vehicles. 

In the domestic sales, the Passenger Vehicles segment (which includes UVs, Cars and Vans) sold 18,460 vehicles in October 2019. In the Commercial Vehicles segment, the company sold 23582 vehicles in October 2019, as against 24,353 vehicles in October 2018. In the three wheelers segment, M&M sold 7151 vehicles for the month.

M&M is the flagship company of the Mahindra Group, a multinational conglomerate based in Mumbai, India. Amongst the various business interests of its parent group, the company is mainly involved in the automobile manufacturing. It is one of the leading auto companies of India.
