TNPL planning for capacity expansion programme at Tiruchirappalli unit

Tamil Nadu Newsprint & Papers (TNPL) is planning for capacity expansion programme at a cost of Rs 2,520 crore in two phases at its Tiruchirappalli unit in the state of Tamil Nadu. Under the first phase, 400 metric tonne of wood pulp- making unit, a chemical recovery boiler division and a 20MW generator would be set up.

TNPL is engaged in the manufacture of newsprint and printing and writing paper by using bagasse as a raw material. The company caters to the needs of multifunctional printing processes like sheet-fed, web offset, and digital printers.
