Essel Propack soars on unveiling recyclable HDPE barrier tubes

Essel Propack is currently trading at Rs. 116.00, up by 4.20 points or 3.76% from its previous closing of Rs. 111.80 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 113.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 117.45 and Rs. 113.40 respectively.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 138.00 on 26-Apr-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 78.85 on 22-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 117.45 and Rs. 106.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 3671.32 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 75.00%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 5.97% and 19.03% respectively.

Essel Propack has unveiled a major breakthrough innovation in the form of recyclable HDPE barrier tubes. The company’s Platina 250 and Green GML 300 Lamitubes have been recognized by Association of Plastic Recyclers (APR), USA as meeting or exceeding the strict APR HDPE critical guidance criteria.

This achievement is a major step forward in delivering on company’s sustainability commitments. This is a first of its kind breakthrough in the tube packaging market, essentially for brands looking to convert to sustainable barrier packaging formats which are recyclable.

Essel Propack is a producer of plastic packaging material in the form of multilayer collapsible tubes and laminates used primarily for packaging of toothpaste, personal care, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, household and industrial products.
