SRF has received approval for setting up a BOPP film line in Thailand by SRF Industries (Thailand), a wholly owned subsidiary of the Company at a total cost of $50 million (equivalent to around Rs 350 crore). The Board of Directors of the Company at its meeting held on November 04, 2019 has approved the same.
This project will provide an additional substrate to the company in the South East Asian region which will help in offering sustainable solutions to the customers in BOPET as well as BOPP. It will further strengthen the company's presence in the growing South East Asian region as a credible and long term packaging films producer.
SRF is a leader in refrigerants, engineering plastics and industrial yarns in India. The company also manufactures polyester films and fluoro specialties. Besides India, SRF has a presence in Dubai, South Africa and Thailand.
