Asian markets trade higher in early deals on Tuesday

Asian equity benchmarks are trading higher on Tuesday despite uncertainties about a potential US-China trade deal, and an escalation of violence in Hong Kong. Market traded cautiously as it eyed for more cues ahead to a speech by US President Donald Trump at the Economic Club of New York later in the day. Japan's Nikkei is trading higher, as major exporters are higher on a weaker yen. Among the other Asian markets, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia and Malaysia are trading higher. Bucking the trend, Shanghai is in lower note. 

Nikkei 225 up 82.46 points 0.35% to 23,414.30, Straits Times rose 10.07 points or 0.31% to 3,250.72, Hang Seng increased 21.11 points or 0.08% to 26,947.66, Taiwan Weighted lifted 57.36 points or 0.50% to 11,484.64, KOSPI Index widened 5.23 points or 0.25% to 2,129.32, Jakarta Composite enlarged by 1.47 points or 0.02% to 6,150.21, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI climbed 2.83 points or 0.18% to 1,610.98.

On the flip side, Shanghai dipped 12.74 points or 0.44% to 2,897.23.
