Asian markets trade mostly lower in early deals on Thursday

Most of the Asian equity benchmarks are trading lower on Thursday, as investors were cautious after US President Donald Trump’s speech on the trade ties with China diminished optimism for a deal and dented risk appetite. Japan's Nikkei is trading lower, with the mixed cues from Wall street overnight, and investors’ sentiment also dampened as Japan's economic growth touched a one-year low in the third quarter. Among the other Asian markets, Indonesia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Singapore, Indonesia, and Malaysia are in lower trend.  However, South Korea and Shanghai are in positive lead.

Nikkei 225 down 191.55 points 0.82% to 23,128.32, Straits Times declined 9.35 points or 0.29% to 3,229.87, Hang Seng decreased 245.22 points or 0.92% to 26,326.24, Taiwan Weighted diminished 16.91 points or 0.15% to 11,450.92, Jakarta Composite contracted by 56.78 points or 0.92% to 6,085.72, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI shrunk 2.10 points or 0.13% to 1,595.12.

On the flip side, KOSPI Index up 4.98 points or 0.23% to 2,127.43, and Shanghai rose 1.99 points or 0.07% to 2,907.23.
