NHB imposes penalty on GIC Housing Finance

National Housing Bank (NHB) has imposed penalty of Rs 15,000 plus applicable GST @ 18% on GIC Housing Finance. NHB has levied penalty on account of non-disclosure in its Balance Sheet, the percentage of outstanding loans granted against the collateral gold jewellery to their outstanding total assets, presenting certain disclosures by omitting/deleting/modifying certain items from the disclosure format/s prescribed and Not uploading the list of recovery agents on its website.

GIC Housing Finance’s primary business is granting housing loans to individuals and to persons/entities engaged in construction of houses/flats for residential purposes.
