Escorts surges despite its Agri Machinery Segment reports 4.5% fall in tractor sales in November

Escorts is currently trading at Rs. 661.40, up by 23.80 points or 3.73% from its previous closing of Rs. 637.60 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 640.05 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 664.90 and Rs. 640.05 respectively. So far 127094 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 10 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 833.50 on 22-Mar-2019 and a 52 week low of Rs. 423.30 on 23-Aug-2019.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 671.15 and Rs. 631.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 8102.94 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 40.25%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 26.58% and 33.17% respectively.

Escorts’ Agri Machinery Segment (EAM) has sold 7,642 tractors in November 2019 against 8,005 tractors sold in November 2018, registering fall of 4.5%. Domestic tractor sales in November 2019 stood at 7,379 tractors against 7,641 tractors in November 2018. Export for the month of November 2019 at 263 tractors registering a 27.7% fall as against 364 tractors sold in November 2018.

Escorts offer a comprehensive range of tractors with more than 45 variants starting from 25 to 80 HP. The company also manufactures and markets a diverse range of equipments like cranes, loaders, vibratory rollers and forklifts.
