Steel stocks tumble as US to restore tariffs on imports from Brazil, Argentina

Steel stocks lost shine as President Trump said that he will be slapping tariffs on steel and aluminum imported from Brazil and Argentina.

Jindal Steel & Power is currently trading at Rs. 144.95, down by 14.45 points or 9.07% from its previous closing of Rs. 159.40 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 159.40 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 159.40 and Rs. 142.00 respectively. So far 2181251 shares were traded on the counter.

Tata Steel is currently trading at Rs. 403.35, down by 17.45 points or 4.15% from its previous closing of Rs. 420.80 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 418.90 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 419.40 and Rs. 402.60 respectively. So far 445834 shares were traded on the counter.

Steel Authority of India is currently trading at Rs. 37.80, down by 1.65 points or 4.18% from its previous closing of Rs. 39.45 on the BSE. The scrip opened at Rs. 39.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 39.20 and Rs. 37.70 respectively. So far 804475 shares were traded on the counter.
